The North Carolina Racial Justice Act
House Bill 472 and Senate Bill 461, known as The North Carolina Racial Justice Act, addresses racial discrimination in capital sentencing. Former county building guard sues for race discrimination
A black Allegheny County building guard fired in 2004 for “unsatisfactory conduct” claims in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed today that the county didn’t hire him for a jail position in 2009 because of his race.
